What is the purpose of this website?
- To post links to good deals on various products and services, and to provide money saving tips and techniques.
- MasterOfCheap.com is also a "proof of concept" site:
- It is a showcase for the App Development, Consulting, and IT Management skills of WidWad LLC.
- The site and the deals are very REAL ... but the secondary purpose is to provide a vehicle that allows you to evaluate our ability to develop a Web App for you.
- it is an outgrowth of the constant request we would get from family, friends, and customers for a good price on ... (fill in the blank)

How does it work? What does it cost me?
- We are affiliated with the companies whose links we display on our website.
- If you visit our website AND find a Product or Service of interest to you on our site AND click the link to make a purchase, we receive a commission on that sale.
- In order for us to receive the commission, you must have Cookies Enabled in your web browser and you must actually Buy the product by clicking the link on our site to purchase from the advertiser (our Affiliate).
- We do not bill you anything for purchasing from our Affiliates.
- We do not know who purchased what, so your Privacy is protected.
- We do not receive commission if you visit the Advertiser directly without clicking our links -- so please kindly use our links to grab that great deal!
Why are you asking for Date of Birth on the Registration page?
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use this site -- children should not be using this website.
- We feel that we have a duty and a responsibility to maintain the integrity of our online community AND to ensure that the people purchasing our products are legally permitted to do so, by ensuring that our site members are of legal age. The best way to do this is the request Date of Birth to calculate age when members register.
- Remember: the ONLY other identifying information we have about our Users are: "Username" (which the User chooses) and "Email Address" (which the User supplies). Therefore, from a Privacy perspective, this should not be enough information to identify you.
- As a general rule, we HIGHLY DISCOURAGE you from creating an account using your real name OR using an Email Address that contains your real name. These are just useful and commonsense tips that will keep your personal information secure while visiting ANY website.
- Parents: if you are concerned about controlling where your children are browsing, consider using tools such as: Net Nanny, Cybersitter, Surf Watch, or Cyber Patrol
Why do we have to wait for a Registration Confirmation Email; why can't we Login immediately when we Register?
- This is done to prevent Spammers/Bots from bombarding the site with fake User Registrations. If we didn't do this, the site could become unreliable as 1000's of fake accounts could be created within minutes.
Why is there a countdown and a popup when when we click the links on this site?
- It is the old method we used for earning money from the advertisements -- most of those links should no longer exist at the site.
- If you find a "pop-up" link, please notify us so that we can remove it.
Is the site finished? Is this the final look of the site?
- No. We are constantly enhancing the site to provide a better User experience for you. Let us know what you think we should improve.
What is a "CAPTCHA" and why do you use it?
- Here is the technical definition of CAPTCHA and ReCAPTCHA. We use CAPTCHA/ReCAPTCHA to prevent automated programs or "bots"/"web bots" from clicking on our links to create dummy User Accounts, etc.
- Bots are often used by hackers and spammers to crack or disable computer systems. We utilize the CAPTCHA to protect the integrity of the site and to help us maintain a secure online experience for our Users.
